Hi, I have installed Cryptochat by accident, so to speak, and now I need to remove it. However, I did it several times already. Each time I open up skype, it reappears again with it. And from reading up in here, I am not the only one with this issue. There is no "Uninstall" option with the program, which, in my opinion, is quite unprofessional.

So, I need to know from the creators of this program how to get it off my computer completely and forever again. I sure hope that they do not want folks to have their programs against the user's will?

I tried to "skype" its creator today, but he told me to come here to as for it. Which I have done now.

I hope to see the correct procedure for its complete uninstallment here anytime soon!

Hi everybody ,

If you uninstalled CryptoChat 4 Skype but it still launches automatically when you start windows, you need to download and run the un-install utility which will remove CryptoChat 4 Skype from your system completely. You can find the CryptoChat 4 Skype un-install utlity in the Download area of the CryptoChat 4 Skype forum.  (Registration / Login required)

the requirements for correct installation of CryptoChat 4 Skype are:(Requirements: Windows (TM) 2000 / XP SP2  - Framework 2.0 - 512 Mb Ram - 20 Mb HD - Internet Explorer 6.X / 7.X - Skype (TM)  3.X) (http://www.cryptochat4.com/skype/privacy.aspx)  

If you use VISTA .... luckiness !!!

The uninstall utility with VISTA are problems at modify the registry ???? you launch it with administrative right ???

This the solution (ONLY FOR THE EXPERT USERS):

1) Open REGEDIT program ;

2) Navigate in : HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run ;

3) Select the key "SkypeCryptoChat" ;

4) Delete it ;

This solution are manually: the uninstall utility is automatic .... but is not possible stops working IE7 and firefox ...

Only you've had this problem and ....
