Yes it is a bit strange, which is why I'm frustrated. I'll have to reinstall Windows XP soon if this issue isn't resolved. Should I reinstall CryptoSkype, then uninstall again? I'm running out of ideas, and it doesn't seem that your suggestions are helping.

My System: Windows XP, 2GB ram, 160GB HD, IE7, FF3

I have already removed the key "SypeCryptoChat" from HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run. I wanted to attach a screenshot but this forum won't allow me to upload an image.

What do you think?

Hi,

WIN XP ???? is very very strange !!!

if you are removed the registry SkypeCryptoChat key , Crypto MAY NOT START !!!

if Crypto start again , search in the registry if are another SkypeCryptoChat key in another User and kill it !!!

for uninstall crypto manually, if crypto start when windows start, close it with dx mouse key in system tray (Quit > YES ) and uninstall the program from the Start>ControlPanel>Add or Remove Programs>CryptoChat 4 Skype ...

I'm having trouble trying to uninstall this extra too!

I'm trying out that regedit method, i do hope it works...

Really dissapointed...:-S having to register to the forum just to get the uninstaller too? Come on now...i expect better.

the requirements for correct installation of CryptoChat 4 Skype are:(Requirements: Windows (TM) 2000 / XP SP2 - Framework 2.0 - 512 Mb Ram - 20 Mb HD - Internet Explorer 6.X / 7.X - Skype (TM) 3.X) (http://www.cryptochat4.com/skype/privacy.aspx)

if you EXIT Crypto Chat 4 Skype (dx mouse click over the Crypto icon in system tray) BEFORE launch the uninstall program in Control Panel , you do not need download the UNINSTALLER CRYPTO PROGRAM ....

and.... please, you have registred for DOWNLOAD and USE Crypto Chat 4 Skype or not ????

If you like the registration before the use .....We will let you happy in future !!!

REMEMBER ...Crypto is a FREEWARE software .... please, help us with a little registration !!!
