CryptoChat vs Skype normal encryption is encrypted. What's the point?

Hi all,

I'm just really confused about the point of using this software. I thought Skype communications are already encrypted. I cant find anything on this site that really explains why this plugin is needed or what the point really is.

Can anyone explain why CryptoChat is needed since Skype is encrypted already?

Re: CryptoChat vs Skype normal encryption is encrypted. What's the point?

Hi,

read the explain text at: http://www.cryptochat4.com/skype/intro_original.htm

"...Crypto ensures maximum privacy by generating a key for each pair of users. Chat messages will look like a bunch of random numbers in Skype, but they will properly display in CryptoChat 4 Skype...."

With Crypto Chat 4 Skype you are sure that the your conversations are secure with a Asymmetric Cryptography (1024 bits) ("...look like a bunch of random numbers in Skype...")

Crypto Chat 4 Skype are one "PLUS" to the Skype encryption .... is very secure !

2 numbers ?

CryptoChat 4 Skype: 15662 downloads, 17774 installations, over 4120 users online (at 08/01/2009)

Thank you everybody !
